The one day workshop entitled “Appreciative Leadership for Elevating Excellence” was held at Hotel Barahi, Kathmandu on 13th Jan, 2024 for the Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Company. The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of the higher level staff members and boost the team performance, through the Appreciative Inquiry (AI) method. A total of 21 participants from the higher level office members participated in the workshop. The main objective of this workshop was to strengthen the leadership team to visualize themselves as a market leader.

The different sessions on AI and leadership approaches were conducted by Mr. Sudhan Lamsal, AI trainer/facilitator with the assistance of Ms. Sanu Maiya Maharjan, co – facilitator in an interactive way. He gave detailed concepts of “problem Solving Approach”, Appreciative Inquiry Approach” and positional & personal power in leadership. During the session, the participants worked on the “Transformational Structure for New Identity”. For this, they developed the guiding principles for their organization. This exercise helped them to assume their role in the organization to bring Reliable Nepal Life Insurance to a multinational level and to a world leading position within 10 years. The second session was facilitated by Mr. Anil Chitrakar, senior facilitator and entrepreneur.  In this session he talked about global and Nepal trends; Aligning and re – aligning for the reality check.

The workshop was wrapped up by Mr. Narayan Babu Lohani, CEO of the Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Company by giving a vote of thanks to the participants as well as the Borderlands team for their help and cooperation in the completion of the workshop. The workshop ended after taking the group photo, feedback from the participants and token of appreciation to the Borderlands team.
