The Borderland Leadership School conducted a 4-days expedition to Uppardan Gadhi, Chitwan’s highest peak, and Meghauli from January 3–6, 2025, involving 21 students of Grade 8, 9 & 10 and 3 teachers from Imperial World School (IWS). The program aimed to foster leadership development, cultural awareness, and environmental stewardship through immersive activities.

Participants explored the rugged beauty of Uppardan Gadhi, renowned for its pristine forests, diverse ecosystems, and panoramic views of the Himalayan foothills. The trek included encounters with native wildlife and cultural immersion through Tharu homestays, bridging urban-rural divides and promoting cross-cultural empathy.

The expedition emphasized experiential learning through hiking, camping, and community engagement. Students engaged in rotational team tasks and problem-solving activities, enhancing collaboration and decision-making skills. This transformative journey blended nature exploration with leadership training, leaving participants with a deeper appreciation for environmental conservation and cultural heritage.
