Megh Ale – Managing Director

MeghAle, founding President of Borderlands eco-adventure center which comprises of Ultimate Descents Nepal, the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort, Borderlands Leadership School, Nature- treks.com & Sunkoshi Beach has spent several years working & exploring the rivers/jungles of Nepal. Megh is always ready to share his deep understanding of Nepal & its myriad cultures, plants & animals. Through Borderlands Professional Development Programs (PDP) & Leadership Development Programs (LDP) for schools & youths, he imparts essential knowledge that he gained through his 28 years of outdoor experience & uses it as a tool of teaching leadership & team building, he deeply believes in experiential learning.
An Ashoka Fellow, he is also the Founder President of Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT), which aims to keep some of the Himalayan Rivers free flowing for future generations.

Wade Campbell – MD Sri Lanka

a native of canada, wade has more than 30 years experience delivering outdoor adventure and training programmes in north america and asia for tourist, corporate and youth groups. he began his career in 1984 with the canadian outward-bound school, and borderlands sri lanka was founded in 2004, after   many years based at borderlands nepal. his love and unending enthusiasm has been at the heart of making borderlands what it is today.

Anil Chitrakar – Director

Anil, the Corporate Senior Facilitator of the Borderlands, is a great facilitator and brings decades of experience in implementing small and large projects in Nepal and globally,
both in the private and the public sectors.
An Ashoka Fellow, who believes that outdoors and hands on learning is the best way to bring out the best in individuals and teams and practices this in all he does.

Vimal Thapa – Director

Vimal, Director of Nature-treks.com, with extensive experience in leading mountain and nature treks/tours in the Nepal Himalayas, has also worked in Chitwan National Park as a naturalist. He is a keen birdwatcher and ornithologist and has dedicated his life to raise awareness and education for the conservation of nature, natural environ and heritage of Nepal. Through Nature-treks.com, he is actively involved in presenting a variety of nature and culture based adventure travel, making it a more meaningful and educational experience in Nepal.

Sudhan Lamsal

Sudhan has been working as program, training and communication director and appreciative inquiry trainer/facilitator at borderlands leadership school. His academic background is information technology (it) and sociology. His expertise areas are career counseling and life visioning management, team building for professional development programs, life skills and a mind-wellness. He has achieved honorary doctorate from vision for excellence international university, usa and also honored excellence award by world book of records, London for his outstanding performances in youth development. He has visited several countries like Japan, Egypt, Dubai and Turkey to learn, share, facilitate and present his ideas about education and youth development.

His professional career started with teaching and carried out many training sessions within different sectors from schools, colleges and for professionals and organizations for more than a decade.

He had conducted several indoor and outdoor training and workshops for several INGOs and corporate sectors, such as un organizations, world bank, Swiss contact, triad asia, asian paints, dolma advisors pvt. ltd., reliable Nepal life insurance limited, etc., as well as national and international schools.

Sanu Maiya Maharjan

Sanu is an environmentalist. She graduated from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, with a master degree in environmental science with a specialization in pollution control technology and biodiversity. She has worked on environmental areas in nepal. She was also associated with the nepal river conservation trust (NRCT) and worked as a program coordinator for the project; “Karnali River Corridor Management Project”. She has keen interest in waste management, food security, and biodiversity. She works well in a team and has a problem solving capacity.

Currently, she is working as program coordinator/facilitator for youth leadership/professional development / team building programs at borderlands leadership school.

Dan Wright

Dan, has been writing programs and developing materials for experiential education training for decades. He has worked in countries like the U.A.E, India, England and now in Nepal. qualified in outdoor and environmental education who worked around the world for 10 years in a variety of guiding, and training roles but always with a specific focus on educating others. he has keen interest in archaeology, geology and wildlife. he works well in a team or in a leadership role and is good at predicting problems and finding solutions for them before they happen.

over 10 years of experience in training and assessments has knowledge of both outdoor and indoor training methods, currently the corporate trainer for borderlands pdp and training.
